Ingredients
- 2 quarts vanilla ice cream or flavor of your choice, softened
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- ยฝ cup melted butter
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 package vanilla wafers, crushed
- ยฝ teaspoon salt
Method
Step 1
Out a sauce pan over medium heat and melt chocolate chips with milk and salt. Cook and stir for 20 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 2
Combine wafer crumbs and butter. Set aside 1 cup.
Step 3
Press remaining crumbs into a greased 13 x 19 inch pan. Chill for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4
Pour chocolate over crumbs. Cover and freeze for 10-15 minutes or until firm. Spread ice cream over chocolate.
Step 5
Sprinkle with reserved crumbs and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
