  • 2 cups of parsnips , peeled and cubed
  • 2 cups of carrots , peeled and cubed
  • 1 extra-large onion , cut into chunks

  • 1 can or bottle (12 fluid ounces) of Irish stout beer
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) of beef broth
  • 1 head of cabbage , cored and coarsely chopped
  • ยผ cup of distilled white vinegar
