About Chefwiz
Accessibility Statement
Chefwiz aims to be usable by everyone. Here is what we do and how to report a problem.
We want everyone to be able to cook from Chefwiz, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we do
- Text and interface colours are chosen to meet AA contrast ratios, and body text is at least 16px on mobile.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, has visible focus outlines and a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use real headings, landmarks, labelled search and form fields, and buttons for actions such as rating, scaling servings and printing.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Animations respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Recipes have a clean print layout with just the ingredients and method.
Known limitations
Some older articles contain images and tables imported from earlier versions of the site whose descriptions may be less detailed. We are improving these over time.
