I’ve got the perfect solution for you – leftover Thanksgiving pull-apart sliders. These little bites of goodness are not only incredibly delicious but also a great way to use up those leftover turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. So, let’s dive in and discover how to turn those Thanksgiving leftovers into something truly amazing!

Why Pull-Apart Sliders?

Imagine a warm, soft bun filled with tender slices of turkey, a dollop of tangy cranberry sauce, a sprinkling of savory stuffing, and a hint of melted cheese. Each bite is like a little taste of Thanksgiving heaven. And the best part? These sliders are so easy to make! Just assemble the ingredients, pop them in the oven, and within minutes, you’ll have a mouthwatering dish that will impress your family and friends.

Step 1: Gather Your Leftovers

Before you embark on this culinary adventure, it’s important to gather all your Thanksgiving leftovers. Make sure you have leftover turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and any other side dishes that you’d like to incorporate into your sliders. The beauty of this recipe is that you can get creative and add whatever leftovers you have on hand.

Step 2: Preparing the Sliders

Once you have your leftovers, it’s time to start assembling the sliders. Take a package of dinner rolls or slider buns and slice them in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Now comes the fun part – layering your leftovers! Start with a generous amount of turkey slices, followed by a spoonful of cranberry sauce, a sprinkle of stuffing, and a slice of cheese. Repeat this until all the buns are filled to your liking.

Step 3: Bake and Enjoy!

Now that your sliders are assembled, it’s time to bake them to perfection. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through. Once they are ready, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Then, using a sharp knife, slice them into individual sliders. Serve them warm and watch as your loved ones devour every bite.

1. Can I use other leftovers besides turkey?

Absolutely! These sliders are incredibly versatile, and you can use any leftover meat or vegetarian substitute. Ham, roast beef, or even roasted vegetables would work wonderfully.

2. Can I make these sliders ahead of time?

Yes! You can assemble the sliders ahead of time and refrigerate them until you’re ready to bake. Just make sure to cover them tightly with foil to prevent them from drying out.

3. Can I freeze the sliders?

Definitely! If you have an abundance of leftovers, you can freeze the assembled sliders before baking. Simply wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and place them in an airtight container. When you’re ready to enjoy them, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight and bake as directed.

4. Can I use different types of bread?

Of course! While dinner rolls or slider buns work best for pull-apart sliders, you can experiment with different types of bread. Hawaiian rolls, ciabatta, or even baguette slices would add a unique twist to this recipe.

5. Can I add additional toppings?

Absolutely! Feel free to get creative and add your favorite toppings to these sliders. Sliced pickles, caramelized onions, or a drizzle of gravy would take them to the next level.

6. Can I make vegetarian sliders?

Definitely! If you’re vegetarian, you can substitute the turkey with roasted vegetables, tofu, or even a vegetarian meat substitute. The possibilities are endless!

7. Can I serve these sliders as an appetizer?

Absolutely! These sliders make a fantastic appetizer for parties or gatherings. Simply slice them into smaller portions and watch as your guests rave about their deliciousness.

8. Can I customize the seasoning?

Yes! If you want to add an extra kick of flavor, feel free to customize the seasoning. Sprinkle some herbs like thyme or rosemary on top before baking for an aromatic twist.

In Conclusion

Leftover Thanksgiving pull-apart sliders are a delicious and creative way to use up those post-holiday leftovers. With a little bit of imagination, you can transform your Thanksgiving feast into a mouthwatering dish that everyone will love. Servings 12

  • 1 and 1/4 cups of previously made gravy
  • 2 cups of shredded turkey leftovers (approximately 8 ounces)
  • One 12-pack of dinner rolls that can be easily pulled apart
  • 2 cups of leftover stuffing
  • 1/2 cup of leftover cranberry sauce
  • 1 generous cup of warmed mashed potatoes from previous meal
  • 6 slices of provolone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of melted unsalted butter
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the gravy and turkey. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the gravy is hot and bubbling. This should take about 3 to 5 minutes. Once done, turn off the heat, cover the saucepan, and set it aside.
  • Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the broiler.
  • Split the attached dinner rolls in half horizontally, ensuring they remain attached. Place the top and bottom halves of the rolls cut-side up on a baking sheet. Spread the stuffing over the bottom half of the rolls. Broil the rolls until they are toasted, which usually takes 1 to 3 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Spread cranberry sauce onto the cut side of the roll tops. Cover the stuffing with mashed potatoes and use the back of a small spoon to create 12 wells in the potatoes (1 for each slider). Spoon the turkey and gravy into the wells, allowing it to spill over the wells. This is normal. Then, cover the filling with overlapping slices of provolone cheese. Finally, place the roll tops on the sliders and brush the tops with melted butter. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the sliders.
  • Bake the sliders in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve the sliders immediately.
