Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices of bacon
  • 2 pounds of fresh kielbasa , cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 diced medium sweet onion
  • ¼ cup of dark brown sugar
  • 3 large yellow potatoes , chopped
  • 2 packages (16 ounces each) of drained sauerkraut
  • 1 ½ cups of chicken broth
  • 1 peeled , cored, and diced apple
  • ½ cup of beer
  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and choose the Saute function.
  • Cook the bacon until it becomes crispy, which should take around 8 to 10 minutes. Use tongs to remove the bacon and place it in a bowl.
  • Add the kielbasa to the pot and lightly brown it on all sides, which should take around 5 to 7 minutes. Use tongs to remove the kielbasa and place it in the bowl with the bacon.
  • Saute the onions in the pot until they become soft, which should take around 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Crumble the bacon and add it back to the pot. Stir in the brown sugar.
  • Add the potatoes, sauerkraut, chicken broth, apple, beer, and salt to the pot. Gently mix all the ingredients together.
