Ingredients

  • 3 baking potatoes , peeled and sliced thinly
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese , shredded
  • 1 pound Polish kielbasa
  • ยฝ teaspoon dried dill weed
  • ยผ teaspoon caraway seed
  • โ…” cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Take two long sheets of aluminum foil and place them on top of each other.
  • Fold one long edge together and then open it out to create a large sheet of foil.
  • Line a 13x9 pan with the foil, making sure the edges hang outside the pan.
  • Arrange the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the pan, slightly overlapping them.
  • Season with pepper to taste.
  • Sprinkle half of the cheese on top of the potatoes.
  • Cut the sausage in half both crosswise and lengthwise.
  • Place the cut side of the sausage down on top of the cheese.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese, dill weed, caraway seed, and milk on top of the sausage.
