Have you ever craved a dish that combines the richness of cream, the tanginess of sun-dried tomatoes, and the savory flavors of garlic and herbs? Look no further, because Creamy Tuscan Chicken Pasta is here to satisfy your taste buds and leave you wanting more. In this article, we will take you on a delightful culinary journey through the ins and outs of this delectable dish. So, get ready to indulge in a creamy, flavorful pasta that will transport you to the heart of Tuscany.

To start off, let’s talk about the star of the show – the creamy sauce. Imagine a velvety blanket of goodness that coats every strand of pasta, infusing it with flavor. This sauce is a combination of heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and a medley of herbs and spices. It’s like a symphony of flavors dancing on your palate. The creaminess of the sauce is perfectly balanced by the acidity of the sun-dried tomatoes, creating a harmonious blend that will have you coming back for seconds.

Now, let’s move on to the chicken. Picture tender, juicy chicken breasts cooked to perfection. They are seasoned with garlic, salt, and pepper, then seared to create a beautiful golden crust. The chicken is then simmered in the creamy sauce, allowing it to absorb all the flavors and become even more tender. Each bite of chicken complements the pasta, creating a marriage of flavors that is simply divine.

As we delve deeper into the flavors of this dish, let’s not forget the role of the sun-dried tomatoes. These little bursts of tanginess add a delightful twist to the overall taste. They provide a pop of color and a burst of flavor that elevates the dish to a whole new level. They are like little nuggets of sunshine in every bite, reminding us of the warmth and vibrancy of the Tuscan countryside.

Now that we have explored the various components of Creamy Tuscan Chicken Pasta, let’s talk about some FAQs that may arise when preparing this dish:

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 boneless , skinless chicken thighs
  • ¾ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 large onion , finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic , minced
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ½ cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (drained from oil)
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 4 cups fresh baby spinach
  • 1 cup freshly grated aged Asiago cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 (16 oz) package mini farfalle pasta

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Season both sides of the chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then place them into the hot skillet. Cook until the thighs are golden and no longer pink in the center, and the juices run clear (approximately 8 to 10 minutes per side). Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Remove the chicken thighs from the pan and set them aside.
  • Reduce the heat to low. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened (about 5 minutes).
  • Pour in the white wine and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Cook until the wine is almost evaporated (approximately 3 to 5 minutes).
  • Add the sun-dried tomatoes and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the chicken broth and Italian seasoning. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it has slightly reduced (about 5 minutes).
  • Add the spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted (approximately 1 to 2 minutes).
  • Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the Asiago cheese and heavy cream until well combined. Stir in the lemon juice. Season the sauce with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
  • Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and heat until warm (about 5 to 7 minutes). Turn off
