  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 4 cherry peppers , not pickled, with stems removed
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 12 oz lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 slices American cheese
  • 2 hoagie rolls , toasted
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 Roma tomato , thinly sliced

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor, combine mustard, ketchup, and cherry peppers. Pulse until the mixture becomes smooth. Set aside.
  • In a small skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook until they become soft and start to caramelize, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
