  • 2 cups of buttermilk
  • 1 lime , with the zest and juice extracted
  • 3 cloves of garlic , finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of ancho chili powder (or any pure chili powder)
  • 2 teaspoons of ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • Hot sauce , to your liking (recommended: Tabasco)
  • 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro leaves , roughly chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper , to taste
  • 4 bone-in or boneless chicken breasts , approximately 6 to 8 ounces each
  • Canola oil
