Ingredients
ย ย

  • 1 pound of milk chocolate , tempered or milk chocolate coating
  • 1 cup of peanut butter , either creamy or chunky
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar

Instructions
ย

  • To melt the chocolate, start by chopping it into small pieces. Place the chopped chocolate in a bowl and set it over a pot of gently simmering water. Allow the chocolate to melt completely until it reaches a temperature of 113 degrees F. Once melted, turn off the heat and remove the bowl from the pot. Stir the chocolate continuously as it cools down to a temperature between 82 and 86 degrees F. You will notice that the chocolate starts to set slightly around the edges. If it becomes too cool, place the bowl back into the hot water for a few seconds at a time until it reaches a temperature of 88 to 91 degrees F. Be careful not to let it exceed 91 degrees F, as it will lose its temper.
  • Next, pour the melted milk chocolate into a candy mold that has individual fluted cups. Use enough chocolate to coat the insides of the cups, and then pour any excess chocolate back into the bowl. Allow the chocolate to set or chill until it becomes firm.
  • While the chocolate is setting, prepare the peanut butter filling by mixing together peanut butter and confectioners' sugar. Use a small spoon or a pastry bag with a large plain tip to fill each chocolate cup with the peanut butter filling, leaving some space for a chocolate seal. Chill the filled cups slightly.
  • To enclose the filling with chocolate, use a paper cone or a pastry bag filled with melted milk chocolate. Fill in the surface of the cups with the chocolate,
