  • 1 piece of dried kelp (dash kombu) , approximately 4 inches long (optional)
  • 5 cloves of garlic , chopped
  • 1 package of medium-firm tofu , cut into domino-shaped pieces measuring 1 ยฝ x ยผ inch
  • 1 pound of napa cabbage , sliced thickly
  • 1 pound of daikon radish , cut into pieces measuring 1 ยฝ x ยผ inch
  • 1 pound of yellow squash , cut into domino-shaped pieces measuring 1 ยฝ x ยผ inch
  • 2 large green onions , sliced diagonally into pieces measuring 1 ยผ inch (using only the white and pale green parts)
  • 1 red hot pepper , seeded and sliced diagonally into pieces measuring ยผ inch
