What makes Korean chicken wings special?

Korean chicken wings are not your average wings. They are marinated in a unique blend of ingredients that give them a distinct taste. The marinade typically includes soy sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and Korean chili paste, among other flavorful additions. This combination creates a harmonious balance of flavors that is both savory and sweet.

The secret to crispy wings

One of the secrets to achieving crispy Korean chicken wings is the double-frying technique. The wings are first deep-fried at a lower temperature to cook them through. Then, they are fried again at a higher temperature to achieve that coveted crispy texture. This method ensures that the wings are cooked evenly and have a deliciously crunchy exterior.

Korean chicken wings are often served with a side of pickled radishes or kimchi, which helps balance out the richness of the wings. You can also enjoy them with a refreshing salad or some steamed rice. The possibilities are endless!
