  • 1 lb bone-in chicken breasts , skin removed
  • 1 tsp salt (optional)
  • ยฝ tsp thyme (optional)
  • ยฝ tsp dried marjoram
  • ยผ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter , softened
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste (optional)
  • ยฝ cup frozen petite peas
  • ยฝ cup frozen cut green beans
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ยฝ tsp salt (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cold unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • ยฝ cup buttermilk
