Creating an Eyeball Cake is like being an artist with a blank canvas. You have the power to design a cake that is uniquely yours. From the color of the iris to the bloodshot veins, the possibilities are endless. So, what are you waiting for? Let your imagination run wild and bring your eerie masterpiece to life!

The Perfect Base

Every masterpiece needs a solid foundation, and the same goes for our Eyeball Cake. Start by choosing a cake flavor that will complement your design. Whether it’s a classic chocolate or a vibrant red velvet, make sure the taste is as captivating as the appearance.

Creating the Iris

The iris is the most captivating part of the eyeball. It determines the color and adds depth to the overall design. Imagine a mesmerizing blue or a haunting green. The choice is yours. Use food coloring to achieve the desired hue and create a captivating centerpiece for your cake.

The Bloodshot Veins

Now, let’s add a touch of spookiness to our creation. The bloodshot veins are what make the Eyeball Cake truly come alive. Use red gel icing to draw squiggly lines that resemble veins spreading across the surface of the cake. This gruesome detail will make your guests do a double-take!

Finishing Touches

No masterpiece is complete without the finishing touches. Sprinkle some powdered sugar to create a ghostly aura or add edible glitter to make it sparkle like a mystical creature. Remember, the devil is in the details, so let your imagination guide you as you add the final elements to your Eyeball Cake.

  • 2/3 cup of boiling water
  • 1/8 teaspoon of black gel food coloring
  • Four 11.1-ounce boxes of plain no-bake cheesecake mix
  • 4 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) of unsalted butter , melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of red gel food coloring
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • One 0.67-ounce tube of red writing gel
  • One 21-ounce can of cherry pie filling

Instructions

  • Spray a 3-quart mixing bowl with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, combine the blue gelatin and boiling water, mixing until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of the gelatin into a separate bowl and mix in the black food coloring. Set aside the remaining blue gelatin.
  • Pour the black gelatin into the prepared bowl.
  • Place the bowl in the refrigerator and let it set for about 30 minutes.
