  • ยฝ cup of whole wheat berries
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 ยฝ pounds of ricotta cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package of mixed candied fruit
  • 2 teaspoons of grated orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon of grated lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ยฝ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 pastries for 9-inch lattice-top pies
  • 2 tablespoons of confectioners sugar for dusting
