Thoroughly defrost the pack and remove any waste by squeezing off the contents. Be cautious of the presence of bile (green stuff) attached to the threads, as it can leave a sour taste if spilled.
Roughly chop an onion and add it to a pan with 3 teaspoons of coconut oil.
Add 4 teaspoons of salt, 2 teaspoons of chili flakes, 2 teaspoons of lamb rub, and 2 teaspoons of ginger powder to the pan. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
Add the cleaned threads of malana to the pan. Also, add 4 teaspoons of mild curry and 3 teaspoons of rajah mild curry. Cook until the excess liquid is drained.
Once the water has completely drained off, fry the threads until they turn golden brown.
The dish is now ready to be served. I served mine with pap and some sweet grilled chicken wings.
