Instructions
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) and position the rack in the middle of the oven.
Grease and flour a 9 1/2 inch springform pan, removing any excess flour.
In a large mixing bowl, smooth out the ricotta using a rubber spatula.
Thoroughly combine the sugar and flour with the ricotta.
Add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
Mix in the vanilla, cinnamon, orange zest, and salt.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in the center of the oven for approximately 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours, until it turns a light golden color.
Ensure that the center is firm and insert a sharp knife into the center to check if it comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool on a wire rack. It may sink slightly as it cools.
Once cooled, cover the cake and refrigerate until ready to serve.
